Out & about

My comfy but smart get up for a day out and about town to run some errands - a not-so-typical crisp white blouse paired with pinstriped shorts which are just as comfy as pajama pants, perfect for braving Singapore's humid weather.

Been neglecting my nails back in the UK because I just can't seem to find any manicurist as skillful as the ones here in Singapore. So, one of the first things I did when I touched down was to get a fresh set of nails! Crazy how a mani-pedi can make you look heaps more presentable.
This set is clearly tweed inspired and so Chanel-esque. Got them done at Milly's (at their Far East Plaza branch) and cost me around $75 for this set, which is pretty reasonable considering the detail that my manicurist painstakingly drew by hand for each nail.

Back to Basics

It's been just over a week since I've come back to Singapore for my spring break.. Yet I'm already dreading going back to the UK. Taking comfort in the fact that its going to be the final few weeks of uni before I'm back in Singapore for good! Some people thrive when they study abroad. Whilst I'm thankful that I've been able to have such an experience and would not do anything differently, I'd prefer being back in Singapore any day.

Back to basics in a LWD (#littlewhitedress) number from ZARA the other day. Although simple and understated, the cutout details on the sleeves make for a nice touch.

Been spending time with loved ones, sleeping, eating, traveling..
More posts coming up soon now that I'm back from my spontaneous weekend getaway (post on that soon too).

Tribute to our founding father

Remembering not only our founding father, but also a remarkable individual.

Thank you for dedicating your life to bettering ours. I'm proud to call myself Singaporean and call this little red dot home - its all down to you and your team who built this fishing village from the ground up and into the Singapore we all love and know today.
Especially having studied abroad for close to 4 years now, I can safely say that nowhere is comparable. Politics aside, you undeniably cannot discount Mr LKY and his team's work. From clean streets to being able to walk on the side of the road without fear in the middle of the night and much more - thank you.

Goodbye and rest in peace, Sir.

Spring break!

Will be back home once again in Singapore in a week or so for spring/easter break, meaning more blog posts!
Always seem to have more things to blog about whenever I'm back home, probably seeing as how my routine in the UK is rather mundane - school > eat > home > sleep > repeat. Also looking forward to reclaiming my summer wardrobe in stead of my usual all-black puffball outfits in the UK.
