Post-exam weekend getaway: London, Day 2 + 3! (Part 2)

DAY 2

Day 2 of my post-exam weekend getaway to London was a full day so we were able to cover more places!

After fueling ourselves for the full day ahead with breakfast, we took the short walk from our hotel to Selfridges. With my mom and my "powers" combined, we ended up buying 6 pairs of shoes in the span of an hour. My post-shopaholic guilt was suppressed by the fact that I hadn't bought anything for myself in the 2 months leading up to exams. So yeahh I went a little crazy.. can you blame me though? :(

Snake-skin wedges I bought from Selfridges shoe department!
(ps/. may I please draw your attention to my rolled up jeans. it totally completes the look..)

Thank goodness our hotel was within walking distance of Selfridges though! After that mini spree we walked back to our hotel to "dump" our buys and headed for one of my favorite places in London....Harrods! ;)

Pizzeria @ Harrods
The pizzeria not only has yummy pizza, it also has a chef who sings opera music whilst flipping the pizza at certain times. When we went, he was singing "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie that's amoreeee". Always a classic ;)

The only thing I ever order whenever I come here - Tricolore pizza (ft. parma ham, rocket, cheese, deliciousness!)

After shopping around in Harrods, we decided to head over to Covent Garden to.... do more shopping! (are you suprised?) For dinner, we went to the Laduree cafe I often frequented when I was living in London. For some reason, the ambience makes me feel like a French aristocrat back in the French revolution.. only just more asian looking than your average French person.. hahh.

my Laduree club sandwich, w/ the very rich iced chocolate drink in the background.

Truffle omlette
can I have this everyday?

Ispahan for dessert ~ giant rose macaroon with rose petal cream, raspberries and lychees (my favorite)
Looks pretty.. tastes pretty!

Speaking of Laduree, managed to find my sought after macaroon keychain in the branch at Harrods! Been trying to look all over for it but even Singapore sold out. Also bought the rose home fragrance. Love the old school pump it came with!

DAY 3

Day 3 was pretty chill since it was our last day in London and we had to catch the train back in the evening.
Spent our time walking around Oxford Street again and had lunch/afternoon tea at Dolly's in Selfridges.

Our afternoon tea set ~
Assortment of sandwiches x scones, clotted cream, jam x tarts

I've missed living in London and was so glad to be back! It was definitely a relaxing post-exam trip as well! :)
