Seafood buffet @ Cafe 2000, M Hotel

Headed to Cafe 2000 @ M Hotel yesterday (Saturday) for their 'International, Seafood & Barbeque' buffet dinner. As the name suggests, it pretty much covers almost every type of food you can think of. They had japanese, western, local, etc. The highlight was definitely the seafood and barbeque section though - it was evident from the people gathering around that section and attacking the food like seagulls (HAHA). Some of the seafood were ready to be eaten (i.e. oysters, crabs, prawns, scallops). For the barbecued portion of the buffet, you chose what your tummy fancied and gave it back to the restaurant to be barbecued (i.e. fish, crabs, giant prawns, lobster, chicken wings, corn, lamb, steak, scallops). The barbecued food definitely trumped the regular seafood selection.

For dessert, there was a chocolate fountain (mandatory for a buffet) and a selection of cakes and local delights (i.e. kueh, bobo chacha?).
Another local delight was DURIAN. Probably a delight for some and not so much for others.
Being the king of the fruits, it naturally had its own station in the alfresco dining area (fancier way of saying that it was basically next to the road.. hahh). The 10 year old kid in me probably took more joy out of watching them cut open the durian than actually eating it.

The ice kacang + potong ice-cream station.
They also had teh tarik! (milk tea)

Spot the chocolate fountain in the background.

What was once marshmallows & chocolate fondue + cheese & crackers.
Demolished by yours truly.
